About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, accountant, teacher and, once again, a journalist, who is at peace with who I am and where I’m at in middle age. For the first time in my life I have the time, space and financial freedom to explore a part of me that has patiently waited for years to be nurtured and developed – creative writing. I welcome you to follow me on this journey into the unknown, on the path of written words.

I look forward to to contemplating and encouraging the thoughts of another with similar experiences and perspectives at a shared time in life….one of my favorite, and personally applicable, quotes on writing is: “I have made this a rather long letter because I haven’t had time to make it shorter.” -Pascal

Interesting quote – I hadn’t heard that before. I had to learn how to pare down my stories and articles when I worked for the HC for space reasons, a challenge to accomplish with a deadline looming. I learned that having a deadline actually helps spur on the writing process but at the expense of creativity. No more deadlines for me, though, and I love it! I didn’t know you were a writer, Terry! We’ll have to chat about that sometime. Write on!

    ” . . . time, space and financial freedom” = bliss!
